We give a shit about your privacy.
Your taste is personal. We collect what we need to run your account, remember your choices, and make synff useful. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not give advertisers access to your listening profile.
Your email address, display name, profile preferences, sign-in history, and active sessions. Sessions include basic device information and an IP address so we can secure your account and investigate access problems.
The artists in your Rotation, records in your Crate, recommendation responses, saved Threads and Vibes, and your Fingerprint. Signed-in visits to Artist and Album pages may also be recorded so the product can remember and improve the paths you follow.
Anonymous, aggregate web analytics help us understand traffic. Separate product events tell us when features such as sign-in or an app handoff work. We do not send passwords, authentication tokens, or magic links to analytics.
Saved Threads, Vibes, and Fingerprints stay private until you choose to share them. Sharing creates a public link that anyone with the URL can open. You can manage Fingerprint sharing in settings.
We use this information to secure your account, save the choices you make, shape recommendations and your Fingerprint, send the messages you ask for, and understand where the product needs work.
Your taste is not an advertising profile.
synff relies on service providers to host the app and database, store images, deliver email, measure product usage, and run parts of its recommendation and generation systems. They only receive the information needed to provide those services under their own data-protection terms.
When synff writes a Fingerprint reading, it sends the musical evidence needed for that reading through a zero-data-retention model request. Your email, password, and sign-in credentials are not part of that prompt.
You can access and update your profile information at any time through your account settings.
You can request a copy of your data by emailing hello@synff.co.
You can delete your account from account settings. This removes the account's listener data and files from synff's active systems, and we cannot recover the account afterwards. Service providers may retain limited backups or security logs for their own documented retention periods or legal obligations.
